Job Summary
The Speech Therapist (Speech, Language, and Hearing Therapist) plays a key role in supporting student communication needs across the district. Under the general direction of the Superintendent and the site principal, the Speech Therapist is responsible for planning, delivering, and evaluating comprehensive speech and language services for students. This position conducts screenings, diagnostics, and therapy for students in grades K–8 and provides specialized support to students with speech, language, voice, articulation, and hearing-related needs. The Speech Therapist works collaboratively with teachers, families, and outside agencies, serves as a resource to school sites—including those not regularly serviced—and facilitates educational workshops as needed. Responsibilities include maintaining accurate records, coordinating audiometric assessments, and actively engaging in professional growth. This role follows the district’s teacher calendar year.
