THE POSITION: The job of the Office Assistant II requires full proficiency in general office functions as well as the ability to learn and use a significant level of technical knowledge of the department or area of assignment under general supervision. Office Assistant IIs typically work with more independence than the Office Assistant I and exercise judgment and discretion in handling assigned responsibilities. This position reports to the office’s administrator. LOCATION: ACOE Opportunity Academy TYPICAL DUTIES: • Maintains an inventory of office supplies and orders new materials as needed. • Schedules meetings, appointments and workshops. • Answers the phone to respond to inquiries, transferring calls, and/or taking messages. • Greets individuals entering the building, assesses responses to inquiries and/or directing individuals to appropriate location in accordance with established building security procedures. • Process, prepare and enter data in the student information system for the purpose of ensuring accurate information is being provided. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Two years of related office experience is required. High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
