Job Summary

Position Overview: Chinese Teachers will be responsible for teaching in the classroom while fostering the social and emotional growth of students. Competencies • An aptitude to work with children and teachers; warmth, empathy and the desire to become involved in the instructional process. • Flexibility and adaptability to change; ability to work in a dynamic, creative and start-up learning environment. • Superb interpersonal skills; ability to work collaboratively with a diverse group of students, colleagues and families. • Ability to follow instructions and accept constructive suggestions and professional standards. • Maturity, humility, strong work ethic, and a solutions-oriented attitude. Responsibilities • Instruct small groups or classes of students • Prepare lesson plans, materials for lessons, and assess student progress • Document student progress and provide regular feedback to student(s), parents. • Establish and maintain collaborative working relationships with school personnel, parents, and other service providers for the purpose of improving the quality of student outcomes, developing solutions and planning curriculum. • Other duties as needed. Qualifications: • Native or near native fluency in Mandarin Chinese. • Experiences as a classroom teacher and/or coursework in Education preferred. • Teacher credential preferred. Education Requirements • Bachelor’s degree. Compensation Part-time hourly compensation commensurate with experience. Working Time can be flexible from 2:30 PM to 6:30 PM or weekend.
