Must be 18 or older High School Diploma or GED Must meet minimum qualifications for a highly qualified Classroom Assistant/Instructional Aide in the district in which the assigned school operates: AA/AS degree, 48 college units, or passing score on district’s Classroom Assistant/Instructional Aide proficiency exam acceptable CPR and First Aid certification required within 30 days of hire and must be from one of the following : American Red Cross American Heart Asso

The YMCA of San Diego County is looking for passionate, flexible and motivated candidates to work in their Child & Youth Development department as before & after school program staff. These roles not only support youth in the before & after school program setting, but are a great foundation for someone either looking for a career in the YMCA or transferable skills they can take to any career. 

What do Before & After School program staff do? 
Leaders in the before & after school program setting help youth navigate through the activities on the daily schedule. These activities include; sports, arts & crafts, academic/homework time, teambuilding, group games, dance, cooking and so much more. Program leaders are encouraged to bring their own passions and interests to the programs, so the calendar of events are constantly evolving. Successful leaders have great communication skills, demonstrate consistency with the students and are able to be flexible in a fast-paced environment.

6. Joe & Mary Mottino YMCA -- Serving Oceanside area
7. Palomar Family YMCA -- Serving Escondido area
8. Magdalena Ecke YMCA -- Serving Encinitas area
