• Demonstrated experience and knowledge of day camp management.
• Current First Aid/CPR certifications..
• Knowledge and experience in Girl Scout program and safety practices.
• Ability to select, train and supervise staff and volunteers with the support of the DCD.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively in a team setting with diverse persons.
• Pleasant, positive and confident presentation of self and council.
• Incorporates understanding of child development and age appropriate behaviors.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Ability to work independently and exercise good judgment.
• Awareness of potential health and safety hazards and consult DCD as needed to control them correctly..
• Valid drivers’ license, proof of insurance and access to reliable transportation. Daily and/or occasional travel may be required. Must be comfortable driving narrow, winding mountain roads with passengers in mini or cargo vans.
• Willingness to accept the beliefs and principles of the Girl Scout Movement and acceptance of the relevant and compelling benefits of Girl Scouting.
