Job Summary
Under the immediate direction of the school principal, the academic intervention teacher will work with identified children to accelerate their academic skills. Teaching could occur in a push-in or pull-out model, usually in small groups. Seeking both English and Bilingual Spanish candidates. Essential Functions of this Position: * Works with identified students to accelerate their academic performance. * Works cooperatively with teachers, aides, and administration. * Performs directed teaching, diagnosing, and planning. * Develops and maintains systems of recordkeeping. * Assists with assessment of students. * Performs other related duties as assigned. 135 Day calendar. FTE: 4 hours per day. Multiple elementary school sites.
