Santa Rosa Academy is a K-12 public charter school, established in 2005 and chartered out of the Menifee Union School District. We serve students in Riverside county with site-based, home study, and a combination of home study/on-site programs accreditated by the Schools Commission of the Western Association of Schools and Colleges. Job Summary
Job Summary
Under the direction of the Director of Student Services/Special Education or designee, teach and instruct students who require remedial and specialized assistance in pre-academic, academic, social-emotional, behavioral, adaptive behavior, daily living, pre-vocational skill areas; plan, develop, organize and assist in the operation of comprehensive individualized educational program for students with a variety of disabilities; assist instructional personnel responsible for students with disabilities in making an appropriate adjustment to an educational program requiring an increased level of independence; perform other related functions as required.
Requirements / Qualifications
FOR 2021-2022 SCHOOL YEAR - START DATE AUGUST 2, 2021. Verification of years of service (step placement) - Credit will be given for up to five (5) years of verified full-time service. The Executive Director or designee may add years of experience as is related to the particular assignment. Minimum Qualifications: • Valid California - Educational Specialist Instruction Credential - Mild/Moderate Disabilities or Specialist Instruction Credential in Special Education - Learning Handicapped • Added Authorization - Autism • EL Authorization
