MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES: • Must have motivational skills to inspire students and staff, facilitate teamwork, support innovation and serve as a role model; • Must be skilled in effectively implementing Professional Learning Communities that focus on improving student achievement through data analysis and best practices; • Must be able to articulate a plan for instructional technology integration; • Implementation of Common Core State Standards in alternative settings; • Lead, manage and develop avenues for independent study online learning; • Must be able to work and communicate successfully with all stakeholders of a diverse community; • Must have a demonstrated ability to provide effective leadership including vision, goals, purpose, and validation of cultures and values to promote learning; • Prepares and submits the school’s budget; • Legal compliance with the charter and applicable law; • Knowledge of current trends and research in charter schools and homeschool/independent study learning strategies; • Project needs of the District for placement of students in appropriate programs, particularly at-risk students, including alternative education; • Utilize appropriate strategies and problem-solving skills in making decisions concerning planning, utilization of funds, delivering services and evaluation of staff and services provided. • Knowledge and experience of Performing Arts; • Other duties as agreed.
