MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES: • Prescribe, monitor and evaluate the educational progress of assigned home schooling students; • Assess student needs; • Provide appropriated curriculum; • Provide auxiliary education experiences and supplies; • Maintain a cooperative working relationship with parents which include assistance with teaching methods as appropriate; • Maintain student records in accordance with law; • Act as a resource to parents and students; • Maintain strict confidentiality; • Work harmoniously with professionals, parents and students, adapting to the various requirements of each.
Requirements / Qualifications
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: • Appropriate California Teacher Credentials; • Three years of teaching experience including experience with independent home schooling programs desirable; • Knowledge of diagnostic/prescriptive teacher methods; • Ability to communicate effectively; • Ability to plan and implement a busy work schedule within a geographic region; • Driver’s license.
