POSITION DETAILS The Fullerton School District and Personnel Commission is seeking a qualified individual for full-time School Social Worker Specialist position to coordinate and provide professional, culturally relevant, clinical social services including individual, group, and family therapy, parent support and training, case management, clinical assessments and interventions, and consultative services to students, parents and District personnel in both the home and school settings. This career opportunity is an 8-hour/day, 9.75month/year position with paid holidays, sick leave, and vacation. The District offers a comprehensive prorated benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision and life insurance. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE Education: A Master’s or Doctoral degree in social work or a field closely related to the knowledge and abilities required of this classification from an institute of higher learning recognized by the Council of Higher Education Accreditation is required. Experience: Two (2) years of professional experience in providing social work services to children and/or adolescents in a school and/or clinical setting is required. At least nine (9) months of that experience must have been providing social work services in a school setting. License Required: A valid Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) is required. Special Information: Possession of a valid Class C California Driver's License and the ability to travel between job sites and different work locations (e.g., student homes) is required. It is preferred that applicants attach a copy of their degree, valid license as a Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and California Driver's License to their application.

EXAMINATION PROCEDURES This is a merged promotional and open competitive recruitment. The examination may consist of a training and experience (supplemental responses) evaluation, written test, performance test and/or structured oral interview. To qualify to be placed on an eligibility list, a candidate must obtain a passing score on each part of the examination process. Final scores will be obtained by combining the relative weights of scores on each part of the examination. If Veteran's credit is claimed, proof of status (DD214) must be submitted to the Classified Personnel Commission Office at the same time the application form is submitted or prior to testing. The life of the eligibility list will be twelve (12) months. The resulting eligibility list will be used to fill future vacancies. Date of Examination The date of the examination(s) will be announced at a later date. Candidates who are among the most qualified shall be notified via email, and/or telephone of the time, date and place of the examination(s).
