Job Summary
Enhanced Special Education Assistant supports students with special needs within the general education and special education environments. They work under the direction of a Special Education and/or General Education teacher at school sites. Additional other duties as assigned related to emergency, crisis and/or pandemic. **New Hire Sign on Bonus of $1,000! Bonus is a one time "off-schedule" stipend for New Classified employees. First $500 paid after second supplemental pay period of working month, remaining $500 paid at end of school year.
Requirements / Qualifications
Required: - Any combination equivalent to: graduation from High school, supplemented by training and/or experience working with children in a learning situation. -Willing to work with individual and small groups of students in collaboration with the classroom teacher(s) to support students' academic, social, emotional, and behavioral needs in order to access the curriculum. - Willingness to learn how to take notes and data on progress towards individualized student goals. -Must pass Paraprofessional exam before employment offer.
