POSITION DESCRIPTION: The job of Executive Director’s Secretary is done for the purpose(s) of providing a variety of complex administrative and secretarial support to the executive director; coordinating activities of assigned administrative personnel; ensuring compliance of activities under area of responsibility with financial, legal and administrative requirements; and providing information, recommendations and/or direction as may be requested by the executive director. The Executive Director’s Secretary (Confidential) is distinguished from the non-confidential Executive Director’s Secretary in that the Confidential employee is required to develop or present management positions with respect to employer-employee relations or normally has access to confidential information that is used to contribute significantly to the development of management positions. This position is a designated confidential position. REQUIRED EXPERIENCE: Job related experience with increasing levels of responsibility is required. Four years of responsible secretarial experience; one year of college level secretarial training (24 semester or 36 quarter units or equivalent) may be substituted for one year of the required experience. REQUIRED EDUCATION: Targeted job related education that meets organization’s prerequisite requirements. High school diploma or equivalent.
