
Transitional Kindergarten Elementary School Teacher at Montecito Union School District

Job Summary
Opening for the 25/26 school year. The TK Teacher will provide an age-appropriate educational program for students transitioning into kindergarten. Instructional Assistants are assigned to this classroom as needed to assist the TK teacher, and maintain a student-to-adult ratio of 10:1. Interviews will be held on 4/25/25 at Montecito Union School and candidates selected for an interview will be notified.
Requirements / Qualifications
A valid California Multiple Subject Teaching Credential or out of State equivalent is required to apply plus one the following: At least 24 units in early childhood education, or childhood development, or both, OR Professional experience in a classroom setting with preschool age children comparable to the 24 units of education described above (comparability determined by the local employing agency), OR Child Development Teacher Permit issued by the Commission on Teacher Credentialing. Note: Teacher candidates who do not currently meet the above requirements and are willing to complete the 24 units in early childhood education by August 1, 2025, are encouraged to apply for this position and will be granted interviews Other requirements: Cover letter explaining your experience as a classroom K-6 teacher. An updated resume Two recent letters of work references that speak to your experience and work performance as a classroom teacher.
