For our Summer School program, GUSD is seeking dynamic educators who exhibit: • Knowledge and skills in Specialized Instruction, IEP process, and Special Education mandates • Co-teaching/co-lab knowledge and skills desirable • Strong pedagogical skills • Breadth of experience in educational technology • Instruction with a 21st Century perspective Glendale Unified serves a diverse, multilingual student community. Bilingual applicants are encouraged to apply. GUSD requires applicants to have a valid California Teaching Credential authorizing instruction in Special Education, Moderate/Severe, autism authorization, and must hold a CLAD or similar authorization for instruction to English Learners.
Please submit the following: • Letter of Introduction • Resume • Credential copy (valid California Single Subject Credential: English, ELD, and English Learner Authorization) • One letter of recommendation from your direct supervisor, preferably within the last 6 months • Transcripts (copies of all college coursework credits) All required documents must be attached as part of your EDJOIN application. We do not accept any faxed, emailed, or mailed documents. Prior to employment, a candidate must submit evidence of freedom from tuberculosis. Also required after an offer of employment are a pre-employment physical exam (district-paid) and fingerprint clearance with the Department of Justice.
