Job Summary

Job Summary

Provide oral and written translation and interpretation of complex correspondence, legal and medical documents, forms, letters, reports, scripts and other materials from English to a designated second language; serve as an interpreter for a variety of meetings, workshops, conferences using simultaneous and consecutive interpretation techniques; perform related clerical duties. The areas of coverage may include but not be limited to special education, educational services, human resources, etc.

Requirements / Qualifications

Valid California Driver's License with proof of insurance. Applicable license/certification as an Interpreter/Translator in Spanish or enrollment in an Interpreter/Translator certification training program

  • Letter of Introduction
  • Letter(s) of Recommendation (2-3 letters dated within the last 2 years)
  • Proof of HS Graduation (Copy of HS diploma, GED, or equivalent)
  • Resume

Requirements / Qualifications

Successful candidates for full-time positions will be required to enroll in one of the District's health insurance programs. Fingerprint clearance from the Department of Justice and/or FBI, proof of being cleared of Tuberculosis and online trainings are required prior to starting employment. Bilingual in English/Spanish desired. Candidates will complete a testing component.
