The Bass Lake Joint Union Elementary District is made up of four schools: Oakhurst Elementary School (TK-5), Oak Creek Intermediate School (6-8), Wasuma Elementary School (TK-8). We serve students from Oakhurst, Bass Lake, Ahwahnee and Fish Camp. At the 2,300 ft. elevation, we experience hot summers all the way to snowy, cold winters. We have some of the best teachers and staff in the mountain area, and our supportive families are very engaged in our school programs. The Director of Transportation, Maintenance, and Operations (MOT) is responsible for overseeing the district's Transportation, Maintenance, and Operations departments to ensure safe, efficient, and effective services. This role includes managing all home-to-school transportation needs, approving and assigning field trips, ensuring vehicle safety compliance, and providing necessary training for drivers. Additionally, the position oversees facility maintenance and Operations, ensuring a safe and sanitary environment for students and staff. The Director also serves as the District Safety Officer and Asbestos Officer, ensuring compliance with all relevant safety and environmental regulations. This is a 12 month, 260 day position. Requirements / Qualifications
Bus Drivers License required. District will provide bus driver training if necessary.
Transport students via school bus, cleaning and custodial duties, groundskeeping and maintenance duties.
