Private Montessori school in Roseville is currently accepting applications for a Teacher's Assistant in our Children's House preschool program (ages 2 yrs. - 6 yrs.). The candidate that fills this position will assist our lead teachers with classroom management, assist with maintaining a clean classroom environment, oversee lunch responsibilities, ensure a calm, relaxed afternoon napping environment for our students, and work in a collaborative fashion with other preschool staff members. We are looking for someone who is reliable, punctual, and committed to the requirements of the position and, most importantly, our students. Applicant requirements: · Be at least 18 years of age. · Possess a minimum of 12 core ECE units (transcripts required). · Have a minimum of 1 year of classroom experience working with young children. Additional skills: Montessori experience is a plus, however, it is not a requirement. Possess a keen sense of awareness of their environment (multi-tasker, alert to surroundings). Friendly and approachable (with students and parents). Positive, energetic personality enjoys working with children. Patient, understanding, able to follow instructions and adhere to specific schedules. Can meet the physical demands of working with preschool aged children (bending, stooping, floor work, lifting children). Able to manage students in a classroom and playground setting. Strict adherence to school policies and ability to interpret and enforce rules. CPR / first aid certification preferred, or willing to obtain training.
