ABOUT ASSOCIATE FACULTY: We have an exciting opportunity for an Associate Instructor (Teacher Education & Development)! This position is for the San Jacinto campus to teach coursework in Elementary Education degree pathway. The ideal candidate has experience with TK-8 education, and is excited to work with a dynamic, innovative teaching team. Mt. San Jacinto Community College District accepts Associate Faculty (Part-time) Faculty applications on an on-going basis for all disciplines. Applications which meet the required minimum qualifications are kept on file in an electronic format for six (6) months from the date the District verifies the applicant's qualifications. Various deans and/or department chairs will have access to these applications and as needs arise throughout the District they will contact those applicants they are interested in interviewing for positions they anticipate will become available.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS A Master's degree in child development, early childhood education, human development, home economics/family and consumer studies with a specialization in child development/early childhood education or educational psychology with a specialization in child development/early childhood education; OR A Bachelor's degree in child development, early childhood education, human development, home economics/family and consumer studies with a specialization in child development/early childhood education or educational psychology with a specialization in child development/early childhood education; AND A Master's degree in social work, educational supervision, elementary education, special education, psychology, bilingual/bicultural education, life management/home economics, family life studies or family and consumer studies; OR The Equivalent; AND Demonstrated sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability gender identity, sexual orientation, and ethnic backgrounds of community college students, faculty and staff DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS Bilingual (Spanish / English) Experienced with TK-8 education *** Before scanning attachments, remove/redact sensitive, confidential information such as date of birth, social security number, address and photograph ****
