Under the direct supervision of the Executive Director for the Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) Department, the person in this position will provide leadership for, design, deliver, and manage high-quality, research-based professional development offerings and technical assistance related to SEL [e.g., Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS); trauma- and healing-informed practices; Positive Behavioral Intervention Supports (PBIS); Response to Intervention; restorative justice; systems related to equity, access, and diversity; mental, emotional, and social health (MESH); pupil engagement and attendance, positive school climate, etc.] for Alameda County school districts and schools. In addition, this person collaborates closely with the SEL Department’s programs to ensure alignment with the department’s Strategic Plan. Requirements / Qualifications

Education & Experience: Valid California Pupil Personnel Services Credential in School Counseling, School Social Work, School Psychology, or Child Welfare and Attendance; or valid California Teaching Credential in Health Science/Health Education. (Required) Valid California Administrative Services Credential (Desirable) Valid California driver's license Bachelor’s Degree in counseling, public health, education, social work or a related field (Required) Master’s Degree in counseling, public health, education, social work or a related field (Desirable) A minimum of five (5) years related experience in a district office or county office of education leading successful district, county, and/or school improvement efforts (Required) Successful, direct experience working with students with social, emotional, or behavioral challenges (Required) Familiarity with student services/support programs or equivalent combination of experience managing large projects involving multiple entities, preferably in SEL (Desirable) Experience managing education and/or health education grants (Desirable) Bilingual skills in Spanish, Chinese, languages of India, Tagalog, Vietnamese of other widely spoken languages in the Bay Area (Desirable) Read Job Description for a complete list of job requirements and experience required
