Job Summary

Under the direction of the Summer School Administrator(s), provides instruction in assigned content areas to students in need of academic intervention, enrichment, or Special Education Extended Year services; demonstrates content knowledge and expertise in assigned subject areas; demonstrates the ability to implement the California Standards for the Teaching Profession; adheres to requirements for record keeping, reports, attendance, grading, and credit allocation (if applicable) pertinent to the assigned student(s); and completes the summer school assignment outside of the contracted work year.

Requirements / Qualifications • Copy of Appropriate Credential • Resume/Summary of Experience • Transcripts Other Information Summer School sites will be as follows: Eric White Elementary Indianola Elementary Jackson Elementary Roosevelt Elementary Terry Elementary Washington Elementary Wilson Elementary Salary for summer school is as follows: Daily Rate of Pay: From $289.73 (Intern) to $527.16 plus $1,000 stipend, prorated for partial contracts Years of service while working with a valid CA credential will be used for salary placement. Years of service will require verification of previous employment, 75% of the instructional work year under contract verified by official transcripts. PLEASE NOTE: EMPLOYMENT IS SUBJECT TO SUFFICIENT STUDENT ENROLLMENT Summer school dates and information: Dates: June 7, 2021 – July 9, 2021, Monday through Friday Time: 7:45 am to 3:15 pm, 30-minute duty-free lunch Teacher Professional Learning day: June 7, 2021 Teacher Prep Day: June 8, 2021 Students attend: June 9, 2021 – July 9, 2021 Student Instruction 8 am – 2 pm
