Job Summary

Job Summary

The Director must have at least 15 Early Childhood Education units. Three of the required units shall include the Administrator’s Course. Depending on education level achieved, The Director must have at least 1-4 years of classroom teaching experience. The Director must also complete at least 15 hours of Health & Safety training and hold a current C.P.R. and First Aide certificate.

  • CA Preschool Director Requirement

    • Contacting state and local regulatory agencies and conforming to health, safety and licensing regulations.
    • Serving as a member of the preschool board and attending meetings on an as needed basis, or calling a board meeting for a specific purpose.
    • Administrator of the school and maintenance of pertinent records.
    • Defining the policies of admission, attendance, tuition, and salaries.
    • Planning and implementing a program for professional growth.
    • Keeping abreast research and new developments in the field of early childhood education.
    • Planning the yearly program calendar and supervising the management of classroom schedules.
    • Scheduling the responsibilities of the teaching staff.
    • Maintains a staff and student directory.
