We are a small, tight-knit school community of approx. 150 students located in San Francisco not far from Golden Gate Park. We are looking for a passionate educator who looks to inspire children to reach their fullest potential. Family connectedness is also an important part of our school community as we work to not only educate children but also promote strong family ties.

Zion Lutheran School is a Christian K-8 School located in the Inner Richmond District of San Francisco. We serve approximately 150 students from all over the San Francisco area. All Zion Teachers are expected to do the following: - Support and uphold the ministry of Zion Lutheran Church and School by promoting the love of Jesus Christ - Educate and model a Christ-centered life and encourage children to grow in their faith - Plan, prepare and deliver instructional activities that facilitate active learning experiences - Develop schemes of work and lesson plans - Establish and communicate clear objectives for all learning activities - Prepare classroom for class activities - Provide a variety of learning materials and resources for use in educational activities - Identify and select different instructional resources and methods to meet students' varying needs - Instruct and monitor students in the use of learning materials and equipment - Use relevant technology to support instruction - Observe and evaluate student's performance and development - Assign and grade classwork, homework, tests and assignments - Provide appropriate feedback on work - Encourage and monitor the progress of individual students - Lead by example and adhere to the same standards that are held for parents and students as outlined in the Parent Handbook. - Assume responsibility for the well-being of children in his/her classroom. - Assume a general responsibility for student body supervision. - Be responsible for upkeep of the classrooms and the surrounding areas. - Prepare, maintain, and submit in a timely manner all required records and reports. - Perform other duties as assigned.
