Job Summary
The Army Science Instructor is assigned within the high school Army JROTC program. The Army Science Instructor is directed by the Senior Army Instructor to properly instruct cadets and manage the JROTC unit in accordance with military regulations and district policies and procedures.
Requirements / Qualifications
Qualified applicants must be certified by the United States Army Cadet Command Headquarters and meet eligibility requirements established by the sponsor military service in accordance with public law. Must be a retired Army Non-commissioned Officer or Warrant Officer with no less than 20 years of active service. Must pass the CBEST exam within the first year and the PE CSET exams within the first four years of hire and obtained an associates degree within 5 years of being hired. Applicants must have a valid California driver’s license and be prepared to conduct, participate in, and travel to sites, professional development sessions, workshops, and meetings.
