About the Employer

The Redlands Unified School District, as a unifying agent of several unique communities rich in local history, culture, and tradition, is committed to preparing students to become productive participants in a diverse, multi-cultural, democratic society through quality education, high expectations, flexible programs and innovative partnerships. Our students will be empowered with the knowledge and commitment necessary to confront the challenges of our changing world, as they become the leaders of the 21st century.

Requirements / Qualifications

Academic Case Carriers (ACC) are credentialed counselors who provide intensive social-emotional and academic support. With approximately 50 students on their caseloads, ACCs are able to help bridge the gaps between the schools, the families, and the community - with the ultimate goal being the academic success of our foster, homeless, and other at-promise students. Working with the schools, the ACCs add an additional level of Tier II support that helps lessen the demands placed upon the schools’ guidance counselors and administration. With each Academic Case Carrier following their respective students throughout their time in the Redlands District, our targeted students have a consistent support system to ensure their academic success, as supported by data that has been collected since the program’s inception. Valid California credential authorizing service as a school counselor or school psychologist, and a Master's Degree in Psychology/Social/Behavioral Sciences, Education or related field; OR a valid California Teaching Credential and Master's Degree in Psychology/Social/Behavioral Sciences, Education or a related field as well as two years of experience working with at-risk youth.
