In addition to coordinating efforts in the Family Engagement department, this unique position leads the efforts of the San Juan Education Foundation. Under direction, the position will work to solicit gifts of funds or in-kind contributions to support district programs and coordinate with schools, departments, and community organizations in the effort.

Serving as the Executive Director of the San Juan Foundation (www.sanjuaneducationfoundation.org) and a member of the district's leadership team, this position helps identify needed supports for high-quality learning and acquires resources to supplement any gaps. The ideal candidate will be a community builder with organizational management and fundraising experience. The San Juan Education Foundation was established in 1991 as an independent, non-profit organization dedicated to supporting San Juan Unified School District students, teachers, and classrooms. As the foundation's executive director, you will work with a dynamic board of directors composed of parents, alumni, and community leaders to implement the foundation's strategic direction and achieve annual goals. Currently, the foundation hosts two signature events each year and raises funds through grants and direct donations to provide classroom grants and other specialized funding in support of student learning. This position will be a part of the district's Family and Community Engagement team supporting need-identification at school sites and helping to align foundation work in partnership development and grants with district efforts.
