About the Employer

With schools dating back to the 1870s, the award-winning Riverside Unified School District (RUSD) is now the 16th largest school district in California. RUSD educates nearly 42,000 students across 50 schools in Riverside. The District serves a large portion of Riverside as well as the unincorporated areas of Highgrove and Woodcrest. RUSD is led by its 12th Superintendent, Ms. Renee Hill and is governed by a Board of Education comprised of publicly elected officials who serve five different trustee areas.

Requirements / Qualifications

Under the direction of the Assistant Superintendent of Curriculum and Instruction or appointed designee: serve as the site administrator and instructional leader of the Educational Options Center, to include Abraham Lincoln High School, Raincross Continuation High School, Opportunity/COPE Program, Summit View Home-Based Program and other alternative programs; administers program-wide curriculum and all phases of the instructional program and management of the facility; supervises and evaluates assigned personnel; provides leadership, administrative, and supervisory skills for the educational development of students as well as to promote parent and community involvement; provides communication between the District and other educational and community partnerships. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: • Any combination equivalent to: master’s degree and five years of successful teaching experience. • 3 years administrative experience (site experience preferred) • Minimum of five (5) years of experience as a classroom teacher with increasing responsibilities at the site level.
