About the Employer The Sequoia Union High School District (SUHSD) serves more than 9,000 students in grades 9 through 12 from multiple diverse communities in the mid-Peninsula region between San Francisco and San Jose. Its location, coupled with its diverse student population, allows students the opportunity to learn to excel in a global society and interact effectively with people of all backgrounds, races, and ethnicities. The Sequoia Union High School District is seeking a dynamic educational leader to serve as the principal of Menlo-Atherton High School, its largest comprehensive high school, which serves an ethnically and socioeconomically diverse student population. Menlo-Atherton is a high school of approximately 2,270 students in grades 9 - 12 located in the town of Atherton, California, a suburban community midway between San Francisco and San José and directly adjacent to the city of Menlo Park. The school draws students from the town of Atherton and the cities of East Palo Alto, Menlo Park, and Portola Valley. With a racially and socioeconomically diverse student body, the school strives to create a school community bringing students together so they share a common appreciation of the value of education and their own potential, exemplifying PRIDE (Patience, Respect, Integrity, Determination, Empathy).
