Job Summary
Job Summary
*Continue instruction of students in the absence of the regular teacher. *Maintain a positive learning environment, model respectful interactions, and demonstrate a love for learning. *Utilize teaching strategies such as checking for understanding, think-pair-share, choral response, and Socratic questioning. *Engage in an “I do—we do—you do” gradual release of responsibility so that students can experience success. Some examples of duties: *Adhere to the lesson plans and/or other instructions provided by the regular teacher. *Maintain positive classroom management by actively supervising students and correcting undesirable behavior. *Keep students under supervision for the duration of the class period. *Provide written feedback to the regular teacher regarding each period of instruction.

*** Through June 9th, 2021, substitute teachers will receive an additional $50/day if they work on-site.*** MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: -CA Emergency 30-Day Substitute Teaching Permit or -CA Single Subject Teaching Credential or -CA Education Specialist Instruction Credential REQUIRED DOCUMENT(S) / ATTACHMENT(S): -Copy/Screenshot of current, valid California Emergency 30-Day Substitute Teaching Permit or Teaching Credential -Copy of CBEST test result or equivalent -Copy of Official Transcripts -Resume -Minimum of 2 Letters of Recommendation
