Overview Los Angeles Academy of Arts and Enterprise (LAAAE) seeks a dynamic and committed Instructional Aide. Candidates should be passionate about meeting the needs of students in an engaging and relevant learning environment. Preference will be given to applicants with an arts or enterprise background. Duties and Responsibilities The Instructional Aide works cooperatively with school leaders, teachers, student services staff, students, and parents towards a positive school climate. The duties and responsibilities listed below are representative and not meant to be comprehensive. • Assists teachers or other certificated personnel in preparation for, carrying out, and following up on instruction to individual or small groups of students as assigned; may also assist with instructional materials, audiovisual equipment, and the maintenance of student records; • Assists teachers, the leadership team, and/or staff with maintaining control of assigned classes to ensure a suitable learning environment, both in classrooms and on school grounds; • May be assigned limited responsibility to teach specific subject matter, in which the teacher assistant has special skills or training, to a small group of students, under the immediate supervision of a teacher or other certificated personnel; • Share responsibility during the school day for the supervision of students in all areas of the school; and • Provide for the supervision of assigned students when circumstances require a brief absence from the assignment; Qualifications Qualifications include but
