POSITION DETAILS The Fullerton School District and Personnel Commission is seeking a qualified individual for a full-time Plumber position. Under general supervision, this individual performs skilled plumbing installations, repairs, inspections, construction and maintenance at District facilities as well as performs other related work as required. Working hours are generally 6:00am-2:30pm Monday - Friday. This career opportunity is an 8 hours/day, 12-month position with paid holidays, sick leave and vacation. The District offers a comprehensive package of health benefits, dental, vision and life insurance with paid holidays, sick leave and vacation. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE Experience: Three year's journey-level experience as a plumber. Licenses: Possession of a valid Class C California Driver's License and insurability to drive a District vehicle. Special Note: Within the first six (6) months of employment, must be able to obtain a valid Orange County Backflow Prevention Device Tester certification. This certification must be maintained once received.

EXAMINATION PROCEDURES This is a merged promotional and open competitive recruitment. The examination process may consist of a training and experience (i.e., supplemental responses) evaluation, written test, performance test and/or technical/structured oral interview. To qualify to be placed on an eligibility list, a candidate must obtain a passing score on each part of the examination process. Final scores will be obtained by combining the relative weights of scores on each part of the examination. If Veteran's credit is claimed, proof of status (DD214) must be submitted to the Classified Personnel Commission Office at the same time the application form is submitted or prior to testing. The resulting eligibility list will be used to fill vacancies. The life of the eligibility list will be one year. Date of Examination The date of the examination(s) will be announced at a later date. Candidates who are among the most qualified shall be notified via email, and/or telephone of the time, date and place of the examination(s).
