Must possess appropriate California teaching credentials. Description: Summer Bridge will focus on learners below grade level in reading. District will provide TCRWP Virtual Summer School Curriculum (lesson videos similar to the current virtual resources) and supplies. Professional development will support implementation. Groups for virtual instruction will be kept small to support personalized instruction. Some decodable and/or leveled books will be provided to augment digital access to books. These resources will remain with Summer Bridge teachers for use in their own classrooms. Applicants will be asked to state their preference for primary or upper grade instruction. Location: Distance Learning Work hours: 8:00 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. (Total work hours 4 hrs and 15 min/day) School hours: 8:30 a.m. - 11:45 a.m. (Hours subject to modification) Summer Bridge will be from June 21 to July 16, 2021. June 18 will be a teacher planning/workday. TBD will be one additional professional development in May/June. July 5 is a legal holiday. Total of 21 workdays at 4.15 hours per day. Additional hours for staff development at adjunct duty rate of $41.53/hr. may be required for teachers who did not receive previous training. The dates will be announced.
