Job Summary

Pediatric Therapy Network is looking for a Child Development Interventionist who has experience working with young children in the special needs’ population either personally or professionally. You must have a passion for helping teach individuals living with autism how to talk, play, make friends and function independently. In keeping with the mission of Pediatric Therapy Network, you will be expected to perform the following responsibilities with an emphasis on providing high quality, compassionate and professional services to the children and their families.

Requirements / Qualifications

  • Experience working with and engaging children with disabilities under three years of age
  • Possess excellent communication skills both written and verbal and the ability to communicate well with families of enrolled children utilizing professional language (not slang) when conversing
  • Experience implementing early intervention principles as they apply to child development
  • High school diploma with relevant experience and at least 12 units of college- level child development classes. The ideal candidate will have a BA/BS in Child Development.
  • Possess excellent time management skills
  • Must possess the ability to communicate electronically
  • Must have reliable transportation
  • As a condition of employment must complete Livescan applicant fingerprinting and background check procedure

    The position is part-time with a three day a week minimum commitment, 8am-12pm or 12pm-3:30pm. Employment available in both Torrance and Long Beach locations. The position reports to the Director of Early Start Denver Model. Benefits for part-time include quality paid supervision and training, paid mileage and drive time, paid time off, employee assistance program, employee discounts through Marketplace, and electronic learning and development options. This position could be offered as a Full-Time position. Full-time employment includes full benefits PTO, medical, dental, vision, 401(k), and life insurance with no waiting period.
