Assigned for specialized defined-term Categorical Funding project. Under direction of the Principal and in collaboration with classroom teachers. Assists to plan and conduct recreation activities for students in grades one through six on an elementary school campus at recess, during class time and/or during after-school leisure time. Work hours are flexible and will vary depending on the school site.

EDUCATION: Completion of formal or informal education sufficient to possess the necessary skills, knowledge and abilities established for the position. EXPERIENCE: Recent paid or volunteer experience involving organized activities with children. SPECIAL LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS, LANGUAGE SKILLS: As required by California Education Codes and Health & Safety Codes, school staff working with children must be free of infectious tuberculosis (TB). Proof of current TB screening must be presented prior to employment and renewed every 4 years thereafter. Possession of current cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and first aid certificates from approved training program is desirable. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Employees must be physically and mentally able to perform the essential duties of a position with or without reasonable accommodation and without hazard to themselves or others; may be required to lift up to seventy-five (75) pounds.
