Temporary Rates: FUSD's long term assignment for substitute jobs of 20 consecutive days or more from 2/25/21 to 6/30/21. *********************** *********************** JOB DESCRIPTION: Under the direction of the site administrator or designee, a substitute teacher is employed to function on an on-call, as-needed basis at Elementary, Middle and High School, Preschool, Special Education and Adult Education to fulfill the duties of a certificated classroom teacher. *********************** *********************** Long-Term Substitute Teacher may be in the classroom and may work in conjunction with the teacher of record. *********************** ***********************
Requirements / Qualifications
Candidates must meet the following requirements to be a Substitute Teacher: • Hold or be eligible for a CA Teaching Credential or a 30-Day Substitute Teacher Permit • Bachelor’s Degree from a regionally accredited university/college • Passage of a Basic Skills Exam (CBEST, etc.) • Letter of Introduction • Resume • Letter(s) of Recommendation (three current letters of recommendation / at least two of the three must be dated within the last two years) Documents All of the following documents are required for this position:
- Copy of Transcript (must show conferral of degree as noted in the job description)
- Credential Copy (detailed printout from CTC website - ctc.ca.gov OR, if no credential or sub permit, passing scores from the Basic Skills Exam, eg. CBEST)
- Letter of Introduction
- Letter(s) of Recommendation (three current letters of recommendation / at least two of the three must be dated within the last two years)
- Resume
