Bakersfield Christian High School (BCHS) is focused on providing a Christ-centered education and is determined to see our students achieve in all areas, both on campus and off. BCHS is a comprised of an average of 550 students ranging from grades 9-12. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities • Extensive knowledge of subject area and ability to reach all learners in any educational environment • Model professional demeanor and ethical standards in all dealings • Desire and commitment to ongoing professional development and motivated to achieve the highest of educational results • Ability to collaborate professionally • Upholding our motto, “Honoring God... Minimum Requirements: • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university, Master’s degree desired • Possess or eligible to obtain a valid California Single Subject Teacher Credential • Experience educating high school age students successfully Physical Requirements: • Including, but not limited to, sitting, standing, walking, climbing, squatting, kneeling, reaching, grasping, pushing, pulling, twisting, bending, lifting, carrying up to 50 lbs. multiple times per shift The intent of this job description is to provide a representation of the types of duties and responsibilities that will be required of the positions given this title and is not to be construed as a declaration of the specific duties and responsibilities of any particular position.
