Job Summary

Job Summary

The Buena High School Principal, will serve as the educational leader and chief executive of the school; responsible for the operation of the school plant; participate in staff and student activities and be responsible for school-community leadership and related partnerships. Buena High School is located in the coastal suburban city of Ventura, CA. It is a mid-sized high school with around 1,900 students, 148 employed teachers, administration and staff.

Requirements / Qualifications

Successful candidates must possess the following: • Administrative Services Credential • Master’s degree from an accredited college/university, preferably in Educational Administration or related field(s) • Five (5) years of successful teaching experience; five (5) years’ experience in a site-administrative capacity preferred; previous principal experience preferred • Demonstration of expertise in the area of curriculum and instruction • Experience working with a variety of agencies and other community resources involved with students and families • Successful experience working with a diverse student and community population
