Requirements / Qualifications
High school graduate or equivalent. College education desired. Under direction from the Manager of Business Services/C.B.O., to supervise and manage the District's cafeteria operations, and to perform related work as required. This single-incumbent managerial class is within the Business Division and is responsible for effective and efficient services in the area of food services. The incumbent communicates extensively with schools in the supervision of diverse services. Supervision requires incumbent to monitor and evaluate work being performed at various locations. Assistance in providing services is obtained from school administrative staff requiring continuing articulation with those key personnel. The incumbent is expected to make independent decisions in maximizing the efficiency of services. The Manager of Business Services/C.B.O. reviews work periodically; however, such review is general and is based upon the attainment of goals and objectives. Any combination of training, education and experience, which demonstrates an ability to perform the duties of the position. The typical qualifying entrance background is completion of course work in public school administration or closely related fields. Administrative - level experience performing various business functions in a public secondary school. Valid California Motor Vehicle Operator’s License required.
