The Campus Monitor enhances student achievement by maintaining a safe environment for students and staff. This is a full-time, non-exempt position reporting to the School Principal and the Campus Monitor/Security Supervisor.

Requirements / Qualifications

• AA or BA preferred • Successful urban high school security experience; experience in the area of security/police work • Demonstrated skill in communications and inter-personal relationships, teacher support and consensus building and problem solving • Spanish fluency preferred • Interpersonal skills using tact, patience and courtesy • Professional attitude and appearance to meet school standards • Physical ability to lift light objects, to kneel, to bend and to reach overhead • Communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing • Fingerprint and tuberculosis clearances as required by law
