
School Bus Driver - Training position available at Santa Cruz City Schools
Job Summary
Job Summary
Santa Cruz City Schools is looking for School Bus Drivers! Under the direction of the Supervisor-Transportation, transport students over scheduled routes; ensure safety of students while being transported to an assigned location on a designated route; maintain order and discipline among passengers on the bus; perform regular safety inspections of the buses; operate the school bus in a safe manner.
Requirements / Qualifications
SUCCESSFUL APPLICANTS WILL RECEIVE PAID TRAINING TO ACHIEVE THE FOLLOWING REQUIRED LICENSES: CALIFORNIA COMMERCIAL DRIVER LICENSE, CLASS A OR B, WITH PASSENGER, SCHOOL BUS AND AIR BRAKE ENDORSEMENTS; CALIFORNIA SPECIAL DRIVER CERTIFICATE (DL45) WITHOUT RESTRICTIONS, EXCEPT #1 AND #6.

TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE: Any combination of experience and training which would indicate possession of the knowledge, skills and abilities listed herein. Completion of the 12th grade or equivalent; two years of experience operating a motor vehicle; a safe driving record in accordance with the requirements of the California Vehicle Code is required; ten hours of in-service per year is required to maintain license.
