Requirements / Qualifications
Required Experience must be in a public school setting: • Eight years of successful full-time public school district certificated service • A minimum of three years of experience as a teacher in a K-12 program • A minimum of two years of experience in an elementary school • Two years of service in a position that required and utilized an administrative credential, such as assistant principal or equivalent position

Kenter Canyon Charter School serves about 550 students in grades TK-5th grade, including a Resource Specialist program and Library Enrichment program. Additionally, its students are provided music, visual arts, technology, hands-on science, physical education enrichment provided by the Kenter Canyon Parent Support Group, the 503-c fundraising arm of the school.
Kenter Canyon Elementary Charter has a student body comprised of .9% African American, 6.7% Asian, 8.3% Hispanic, .2% Pacific Islander, and 77% White. Approximately 8% are English Learners, 11% students with disabilities, 100% inclusion/no-special day classes, 6% economically disadvantaged, and approximately 32% are identified as Gifted and Talented. Most of the students live in the neighborhood while others are part of the Affiliated Charter Lottery program. The school is located in the residential Brentwood neighborhood one mile north of Sunset Blvd., at 645 N. Kenter Avenue, Los Angeles, CA 90049, and is an active part of the larger Palisades Complex of Charter Schools within the West LA Community of Schools.
