Job Summary

Under the direction of Assistant Superintendent of Educational Services, the Director of Educational Technology, and/or designee serves as the lead administrator in-charge of planning, directing and supervising the implementation, integration, administration and maintenance of instructional technology throughout the District. The Director of Educational Technology will provide leadership and direction in the effective use of instructional and operational technology, technology services planning, organization, administration and evaluation as well as the integration of new and emerging technologies to increase efficiencies and productivity within the district. An essential function of this position includes overseeing a variety of educational technology-related programs and projects, including personalized, digital learning and curriculum, educational technology-related professional learning for staff, and the 1:1 initiative; supervise and evaluate the performance of assigned staff.

QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum: 1. Valid California Administrative Services Credential. 2. Five years of successful teaching and site-leadership (principalship) experience with positive evaluations. 3. Five years of successful experience in planning and delivering of educational technology professional development based on student achievement data and adult learning needs. 4. Valid California driver’s license. Desirable: 1. Possession of an advanced educational degree (MA/MS, EDS, PhD/EdD and/or certification in support of curriculum and technology integration in the core academic areas).
