Foundation for Grossmont & Cuyamaca Colleges 8800 Grossmont College Drive, El Cajon, CA 92020 A 501 (c)(3) Charitable Organization in Support of Academic Excellence Title III HSI STEM GRANT PROGRAM SPECIALIST The Program Specialist will assist with the planning, organizing and administration of the day-to-day student support and operations of the assigned grant. The Program Assistant will be employed by the Foundation for Grossmont & Cuyamaca Colleges (FGCC), non-profit 501(c)(3) organization which focuses on managing programs that benefit Grossmont College, Cuyamaca College, the Grossmont-Cuyamaca Community College District, and other college and community programs. The Foundation is contracted by GCCCD to provide support to specific grant-funded programs. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: * Support the daily operations of the grant, including the implementation of work plans and tracking of work plan achievements. * Assist with grant-related communications. * Maintain website and CANVAS shells with current information and upload relevant content. * Schedule committee meetings and subcommittee meetings. * Prepare meeting materials, coordinate meeting rooms, catering and audio/visual and meeting materials. * Take minutes at meetings, prepare minutes for approval, and post minutes on the website. * Assist with reporting and data collection. * Process and assist project staff with the submission of required documentation for the grant. Student Support * Conduct intrusive outreach to STEM cohort students and at-risk students identified in STEM courses to ensure students stay in school and on track with educational and career goals * Advise students on academic success strategies and campus procedures & policies, as needed * Work with Counseling staff, faculty mentors and instructors to ensure student needs are met and educational barriers are removed. * Assist with the development and execution of workshops * Participate in retention a
