Requirements / Qualifications
1. High school diploma or equivalent. 2. Certificates or Transcripts showing advanced training. 3. Three (3) years’ experience in the installation, maintenance, and repair of computers, computer peripherals, servers, hubs, work stations, routers, switches plus cable, and mobile devices
Prior to employment, all applicants are subject to a fingerprinting clearance through the Department of Justice (DOJ) and a fee for processing. Authorization of employment will not be granted until the fingerprint clearance from DOJ has been accepted. Fringe Benefits: Family medical, dental, vision, employee life insurance for employees who work 6+ hrs. per day (prorated for less than 8 hrs. a day).

Under general supervision, plans, organizes, and implements the installation, repair, and maintenance of a variety of networking and computer equipment; orders, evaluates, and maintains an ongoing inventory of hardware and software design specifications for computer and network-related projects; assists with outside vendors hired to perform network and computer-related projects; provides technical input toward the development of policy and standards related to technology use; and recommends hardware and software for standardization. Under general supervision, duties assigned to this class may be generally divided into five areas: Installs, configures, and/or maintains computer systems hardware, networks, mobile devices, systems software, audiovisual devices, and peripherals; Assists in overseeing the direction and workload of outside technical support vendors and their projects; Diagnoses and troubleshoots hardware, network, and related software problems; Provides technical input to assist site administration with the development and implementation of technology plans; and Assists in the development of networking and technology use policies.
Examples of Duties
Assists with the setup and maintenance of technology systems and software, digital classroom systems, computers, networking and wireless systems, and server-related equipment; Assists in the assessment, prioritization, and delegation of work requests; Assists in the assessment of future network growth plus demands; Co-coordinates with outside contractors and administration during new or remodeling construction to verify work schedules, resizing, and future needs; Supervises and performs skilled duties in the installation and repair of computer systems, peripherals, and networking equipment; Tests and evaluates new equipment and systems for possible District use; Performs the regular duties of an Information Technology Analyst as described in the Information Technology Analyst I job description; Performs other related duties as assigned within the classification
