Ref. 8170 TITLE: Specialist, Student Engagement REPORTS TO: Assigned Supervisor DEPARTMENT: As Assigned CLASSIFICATION: Classified FLSA: Non-Exempt WORK YEAR/HOURS: 261 days / 7.5 hours or duty days and hours as assigned ISSUED: Created: May 2007 Revised: May 2020 SALARY GRADE: WTCL 55 BASIC FUNCTION: Perform a variety of highly difficult, technical duties requiring excellent communication skills; utilize specialized knowledge and independent judgment involving frequent and responsible public contact to implement the District’s Meaningful Student Engagement policy and standards, specifically building, leading, and managing site and district level technical assistance and capacity building for youth-adult partnerships with shared decision making and continuous school improvement to advance student achievement. REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES: Incumbent may perform any combination of the essential functions shown below.
