Job Summary
Job Summary
Students who enjoy singing have a myriad of opportunities to receive vocal coaching, to gain performing experience, and to express themselves musically. For students in grades 7-12, we offer a mixed choir, The King’s Chorus, which is a non-audition group. The King's Chorus sings at three concerts throughout the year and takes part in other events. Students in grades 9-12 who love to sing and dance can audition for a small select ensemble called "Knightshine." It is the teacher's primary responsibility to provide classroom instruction to the students of The King’s Academy and be a positive role model for them. Teachers should view their role as a ministry, helping each student reach their full potential in Christ. The vocal music courses at TKA are designed to allow students to strengthen and develop their musical abilities. They are challenged to become better musicians by learning proper care of their voices, expanding their knowledge of musical terms and practices, and working together to produce musical presentations. Besides the regular classroom rehearsals, much time is spent in auditions, performances, competitions for all choirs, and musical productions for junior and senior high.
