The CORE Coach will be hired by LAEP and supervised by LAEP’s CORE Director. The leadership coach is responsible for supporting high quality school leadership and instruction by coaching school principals. This includes developing the knowledge and skills of principals to effectively implement distributed leadership practices and demonstrate growth on the CPSELS. We are looking for candidates local to Orange, San Diego, Riverside, San Bernardino, and Imperial Counties. This position works with new and veteran principals to self-identify their own growth goals, rooted in the CPSELs, and to co-create a coherent approach for professional learning that emphasizes emotional wellness for staff and students and equitable leadership practices. The coach will focus on supporting leaders to improve the overall school climate and implement trauma-informed systems to reduce re-traumatization, promote student and staff resilience, and increase positive academic and non-academic outcomes for students. The coach provides critical thought-partnership, consultation, and coaching to principals and monitors growth plans using implementation science methods.
