Blue Oak School is a two-campus K-8 progressive independent school seeking an experienced custodian and facility maintenance professional. Duties include: Custodial Services: General full cleaning multiple times a week of all classrooms, offices, kitchens, multipurpose rooms, as well as daily disinfecting of high-touch areas - and deeper cleanings during summer, winter, and spring breaks. Grounds Maintenance: Empty exterior trash/recycling/compost bins. Periodic exterior deep cleaning - such as power washing exterior concrete areas - typically during school breaks. Building Maintenance/Repair Services: Perform a variety of basic building maintenance tasks using a variety of skills and tools. Physical Demands: Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a variety of custodial equipment. Walking or standing for extended periods of time. Seeing to perform custodial duties. Carrying, lifting, pushing or pulling moderately heavy objects. Bending at the waist, kneeling or crouching. Reaching overhead, above the shoulders and horizontally. Climbing ladders and working from heights to replace light bulbs. Hazards: Exposure to various cleaning agents and chemicals.
