Knowledge of the context and the content area of the candidate’s teaching assignment 2. Possession of a Clear Teaching Credential 3. Ability, willingness, and flexibility to meet candidate needs for support 4. Minimum of three years of effective teaching experience 5. A classroom teacher with permanent status or a retired teacher with recent Mentor experience 6. Demonstrated commitment to professional learning, positive personal relations, collaboration, and team-building skills 7. Have exemplary teaching ability as shown by demonstration of, among other things, Effective communication skills; Comprehensive subject matter knowledge; Mastery of a range of teaching strategies necessary to meet needs of pupils in different contexts; Ability to cooperate effectively with teacher aides, teachers, and administrators in the District.
