Requirements / Qualifications

The San Diego Unified School District is recruiting for the position of Associate Budget Analyst. The Associate Budget Analyst will perform continuous budgetary and accounting control over division budgets; prepare management reports containing recommendations; make budgetary and administrative studies of the policies, procedures, and operations of divisions or departments as assigned. This is a full time (40 hours per week) 12 month per year position. This is a promotional/open opportunity, which means that current monthly-salaried employees receive precedence over other candidates on the eligible list. For a promotional/open posting, the top ten internal applicants will be provided unless there is an insufficient number and then the list will be supplemented with the top external applicants to make up the ten (Employment Regulations for the Classified Service of the San Diego Unified School District: Article 2, Section 9).

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Any combination of training, experience, and/or education equivalent to graduation from a recognized college with a major in accounting, finance, business administration, or other directly related field, and two years of recent budgetary or accounting experience.
