About the Employer
The Chawanakee Unified School District is within a 30-minute drive of Fresno, Madera, and Merced. We are located in Eastern Madera County, extending from the floor of the San Joaquin Valley to the crest of the Sierra Nevada Mountains, including a significant amount of territory in the Sierra National Forest. The district encompasses the communities of North Fork, O’Neals, Tesoro Viejo, and Millerton Preserve. Spectacular recreational areas of Bass Lake and Yosemite National Park surround North Fork while the San Joaquin River borders Tesoro Viejo and Millerton Preserve on the eastern side. The district is close to Badger Pass and China Peak ski slopes, and we are just minutes from Millerton Lake State Park. The district is also surrounded by a multitude of High Sierra lakes and resorts.
Requirements / Qualifications
Either Valid California Multiple Subjects Teaching Credential OR Single Subject will Qualify (Preferred Single Subject be Math or Science) with CLAD certification. Valid California Driver's License. Upon hire must clear fingerprint scan and submit proof of negative TB test.

K-12 independent study, homeschool, class instruction at sites. Provide supervision and guidance to each pupil, which will promote their welfare and proper educational development. Class instruction sites include: O'Neals, Mariposa, Merced, North Fork and Hillside Elementary - Assignment could be at any or all of those locations (TBD).
Due to growth in multiple regions we are seeking to add three (3) teachers.
Start date: August 10, 2020
7.5 hours per day, Generally 8:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. with some exceptions
Five (5) days per week, Monday through Friday
